Right by the Tulum ruins is the new museum, Mystika Tulum. It was abandoned by the late 16th century, after the Spaniards arrived with the fatal Old World diseases. This day the entrance is free for Mexican citizens and foreign residents, so it gets more crowded than usual. Head through to the official ticket booths at the entrance.
