So you might need to go in shifts and arrive 15 minutes apart. Thanks for your help. Foreign and local transport start services at 4 am meanwhile playa del carmen buses work all day and night long. You can catch a colectivo along the main highway running through the town of Tulum, if you just stand anywhere along the boulevard on the south side of the road going towards the ruins. It is a busy time and if there is more then 5 people it might take a colectivo or two to come by to fit everyone in.
